Who can join?
Any woman 18 years or older who can prove her lineage from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR.

What about children?
If you are under 18 or the parent of a minor, consider joining Children of the American Revolution!

Where do I start?
Fill out a pedigree chart (pdf) as completely as you can before meeting with a chapter representative. We can help guide you from there! Our organization has volunteer genealogists and access to additional records you might need to complete your application. You can join as a DAR member-at-large or as a member of a chapter, like the Boston Tea Party Chapter NSDAR.
